This tournament was being held at the Georgia Dome, but a severe storm damaged the facility on Friday night, causing Georgia's quarterfinal matchup with Kentucky to be postponed until Saturday. The venue was switched to Alexander Memorial Coliseum, the home of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and Georgia had the unenviable task of potentially playing two tournament games in the same day.
